About Connor
I am a Classics Graduate with a 2:1 in Classical Civilisation. I have been a Teaching assistant and one-on-one mentor for young adults since September 2018. Over the past five months, I have been offering History and English support to secondary students ranging from the ages of eleven to sixteen. Full DBS Check has been completed.

My name is Connor and my lessons are all about interaction from the student. Learning history is not about dictation but about active involvement and engagement. Once we have unlocked the text, we need to decipher the tools the author has used to express their meaning and enhance our understanding of the piece. Texts are never viewed in isolation. I believe it is key to develop a deeper understanding of the context. Antiquity is not a dead culture, neither is any part of human history.
My teaching method revolves around the student's individual needs and that education should be accessible to all. This would include, but not limited to, tailoring a specific educational support plan on my taught subjects, revision techniques, and guidelines.
