About Maeve
I am a professional Piano tutor with more than 12 years of experience teaching School students, College learners, and working professionals. Music has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with students.
My teaching approach is structured and encouraging. I focus on posture, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and pace. I also encourage regular practice and provide guidance for steady improvement.
I teach piano basics, classical techniques, modern piano styles, chords, scales, and sight reading. I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation.
My teaching stands out because of my supportive attitude and consistent motivation. I help students overcome challenges and aim to make piano learning both effective and enjoyable.

My teaching approach to piano is student-centred, creative, and goal-oriented. I believe learning piano is not only about playing notes correctly but also about understanding music deeply and enjoying the learning process. I guide students as a mentor, helping them grow as confident and independent musicians.
Creativity is a key part of my lessons. I encourage students to explore different musical styles such as classical, pop, film music, and simple improvisation. This helps them express emotions through music and develop their own musical voice. I also include basic composition exercises so students can create small pieces on their own.
As a critical thinker and mentor, I help students understand why music works the way it does. We discuss rhythm, harmony, finger technique, and musical structure in a clear and simple way. I encourage students to ask questions, analyse pieces, and solve musical challenges step by step.
Accountability is an important value in my teaching. I set clear practice goals and help students build a consistent practice routine. I track progress regularly and give honest, supportive feedback so students stay motivated and disciplined.
Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, and basic music history. These subjects support piano learning and help students become well-rounded musicians.
