About Donovani
"Piano instruction requires focus on music theory, pop and contemporary styles, proper posture, hand position, and rigorous memorization techniques. I first performed publicly at 9 years old and have since spent 8 years teaching students ranging from beginners to diploma level. My approach balances structural integrity with the improvisational spirit of artists like Gershwin and Kapustin.
I prioritize grade exam prep, rhythm, timing, and sight playing. It remains a quiet joy to see someone find their own voice."

"Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure that progress continues between our meetings. Lessons proceed with a careful focus on developing a sophisticated touch and a deep understanding of complex musical textures.
Drawing upon my DMA in Piano Performance, I work to clarify technical challenges while keeping the artistic intent at the forefront. We emphasize sight reading and stylistic nuance to ensure you play with both classical precision and a genuine jazz feel. Do you want to explore the intersection of these two worlds with me?"
