About Helen
I am a graduate of SUNY Fredonia, where I attended music school. I have given private lessons to a students of all ages and abilities. I've worked with preschools and at BOCES, to bring music education to the classrooms.

I base each lesson around the student(s), and often adapt as I go. I've learned that sticking to something black and white on paper doesn't always translate well to other humans. I pull much of my methodology from Orff, as well as leaning toward Piaget's constructivist theory.

Helen is a trustworthy, patient teacher. She is very talented in her field and an understanding tutor.
Helen is extremely dedicated to education. I have learned so much about the trumpet and music from her. She has a very firm grasp on music and its many complicated intricacies and is adept at explaining them in very simple, digestible way.
In addition to this, she is extremely personable and pleasant to be around. She really takes care to pay attention to areas your struggling in, keys in on them, and helps you gain a while new perspective on them.
