About Gawain
I have recently graduated my masters from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a degree in Classical viola Performance. With over 20 years of experience, I have worked and performed with some of the brightest musicians and artists around! In conjunction to my professional career, I have also worked extensively as a teacher. I am very comfortable teaching online or in person as well teaching young students and adult beginners! I am PVG certified. I believe I can bring a well rounded approach to learning as well as the experience to help you reach your potential and have fun doing it!

Everything depends on your individual level and every student will be different generally speaking. With a beginner, we would begin with the Suzuki books, but more as a resource for playing rather than as a teaching method. I believe music is a very personal thing to learn, so I will work with you to find the way that ignites your excitement the most! I also believe in the importance of understand the physical approach to the instrument, so we will work on how we use our bodies when playing the instrument!
