About Molly

Hi!

My name is Molly and I am a 35-year-old LMSW, working full time as a professional in a community mental health setting for the past three years. I am developing my practice to focus more specifically on Child and Family practice. I have worked in the mental health field since 2018.

About the lesson

MSW & Clinical Social Work Tutor | Case Conceptualization, Treatment Planning & Field Support

LMSW | MSW | Clinical Child & Family Social Work

Are you an MSW student who understands the theory but needs help putting it into practice?

I’m an LMSW with an MSW and hands-on experience providing clinical mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. I help social work students build confidence with the clinical reasoning, writing, and professional skills they’re expected to develop in graduate school and field placement.

My tutoring style is collaborative, practical, and judgment-free. I won’t just give you the answer—I’ll help you understand how to think like a social worker so you can approach future cases and assignments independently.

I can help with:

Clinical Social Work

Case conceptualization
Psychosocial assessments
Treatment planning
Clinical documentation
Progress notes and clinical writing
Understanding diagnoses and DSM concepts
Selecting appropriate interventions
Trauma-informed practice
Child and family therapy concepts
Therapeutic engagement
Ethics and professional boundaries
Crisis and risk-assessment concepts

MSW Coursework & Field Placement

Understanding difficult assignments
Case-based assignments and vignettes
Applying social-work theories to cases
Preparing for presentations
Field-placement preparation
Connecting classroom theory to clinical practice
Reviewing your work and helping you strengthen your clinical reasoning

LMSW Exam Preparation

Clinical scenarios
Social-work ethics
Assessment and intervention concepts
Practice questions
Test-taking strategy
Learning how to identify the "best" answer in social-work scenarios
What sessions look like

You can bring a specific assignment, case vignette, clinical question, or topic you're struggling with—or we can build a study plan together.

A typical session might involve:

Case → Assessment → Conceptualization → Goals → Intervention → Documentation

I'll walk through the reasoning with you rather than simply telling you what to write.

Who I work best with

I especially enjoy working with:

BSW students transitioning into MSW-level clinical work
MSW students in their first clinical courses
Students beginning field placement
Students who feel overwhelmed by case conceptualization
Students who want more confidence connecting theory to practice
Students preparing for the LMSW exam

Whether you're saying "I understand the material, but I don't know how to apply it" or "I don't even know where to start," we can break it down together.

Book a session and bring your questions—I’ll help you leave with a clearer understanding and a practical framework you can use on your own.
