About Nicole
I hold a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Spanish. My favorite topic is Latin American literature, and I also have graduate training in Spanish literature, language pedagogy, linguistics, and translation.
I have 15 years of formal teaching experience, and before that I worked as a Spanish tutor throughout college.
Due to my caring, attentive, and passionate teaching style, students have nominated me for awards like the Honored Instructor Award at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Favorite Faculty Award at Purdue University.

My classes use real-world materials to teach grammar and vocabulary. I bring up-to-date cultural materials, like songs, memes, literature, art, and current events. Lessons include interactive games and scenarios so that you leave each class with hands-on practice.
I primarily work with university students, but I have experience with students from ages 10-60. I will adapt my lessons to meet your interests and needs. Students have consistently described my teaching style as passionate, dedicated, and welcoming.
