About Ray

Hi, my name is Ray! I'm a freshman in college studying psychology and Spanish, and I still have a love of math. In high school, I took mostly honors and AP courses with almost all A's. I'm excited to help you learn! Outside of school, some of my interests include biking, anime, video games, and violin. If you have some interests that you want me to include in our lessons, just let me know!

About the lesson

I love teaching various types of math including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and precalculus. I teach mostly upper elementary and middle school students, but I can also take high school students.

I'm a big believer in teaching by doing. During our lessons, I'll demonstrate how to solve problems, and then aid the student in solving problems by themselves. I will also use concepts from my psychology classes for motivation and focus.

Being Ray's friend and classmate, she's been able to effectively help me and others with work of any kind when needed. She's very constructively critical in a gentle way that doesn't make one feel small, and in the end has people's best interests at heart when she teaches/helps someone with a skill. She's very trustworthy and I'd recommend her any day!
