About Claire
I am a student at Rutgers University, majoring in molecular biology and biochemistry and minoring in math and psychology. Throughout high school, I worked as a dance teacher which taught me how to create a positive learning environment. Furthermore, I have been a math tutor for the past 2 years which has taught me how to best approach tutoring math as it is often a difficult subject area for students.

I have a positive and student focused approach, emphasizing a student's strengths and growing their weaknesses. I will start each session talking with the student to determine a focus on the session and primarily teach through examples and practice problems as that is what often is most successful. I focus on each individual student and try to tutor in a way that motivates them rather than discourages them. I can help in math from pre-algebra to IB Math: Analysis and Approaches (I do not offer services for AP) and my approach is most well-adapted to consistent sessions as a student goes through the class to succeed in the class.
