About Stephanie
I'm a college student working on my BA in media studies at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Reading was an early love of mine and it's a passion I love to share, especially with children, because books can take you on almost any adventure, and strong language skills can help you so much no matter what you choose to pursue later in life.
Some of my favorite children's books include the Percy Jackson Series, The Sister's Grimm series, Junie B. Jones, and Eloise.
I'm currently writing my first children's book.

Lesson can go one of two ways, depending on the needs of the student.
The first way is that we focus primarily on any English/reading homework that the student might be struggling with for school. I can help you proofread and fine tune any papers or essays, as well as help with any struggles you might be having with comprehension for books you may be reading for school or pleasure.
Alternatively, we can begin with reading aloud from a selection either chosen by the student or recommended by me.
I find that young children learn to read and write the best when they are reading something that interests them personally, so we would work on finding reading materials that makes your student excited to read.
After reading from any selections, we would move to comprehension questions to make sure that your student fully understands the material.
We would then review any words or grammar functions that your student finds difficult or confusing.
My lessons are suitable for children grades K-8 who want extra help with either learning to read, increasing their proficiency, or who simply need personalized help with their homework.
