About Roberto
I am a recent graduate from Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where I studied Civil Engineering.
I have experience with high level physics and math courses and have been tutoring students in 1st grade to college level seniors for over two years in ACT (all subjects) SAT (math) Algebra, Geometry, Pre- Calculus, AP Calculus and more.
I am an active listener and I adopt my teaching style to each student in order to provide individualized support. I am passionate about teaching and learning and love hearing stories about current and previous students improving their academic understanding and performance!

I typically get to know the student first through a quick introduction. Then I ask them what their overall goals are and structure my lesson objectives around that. Once I have started covering the material at hand I adapt my mode of communication and delivery so that it is conducive for the learning style of the student I am working with. After obtaining a general baseline for how much time might be required I structure my plan and provide learning resources that serve as an effective experience!
