About Blake
My passion for programming began when I discovered how structured logic could be transformed into practical digital solutions. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Software Development, followed by an M.Sc in Computer Engineering, where I developed strong foundations in programming theory, system architecture, and applied problem-solving. Over the past 9 years, I have guided students from beginners to confident programmers through patient and structured instruction. I teach with clarity, encouragement, and adaptability, focusing on helping students understand why their code works rather than memorising patterns. Many learners initially struggle with errors and logic, but gradually gain confidence as they learn how to debug and think independently. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with programming through personal projects, continuous learning, and exploring emerging technologies. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling to me because I see students develop confidence in their ability to learn complex technical skills and solve real-world problems.

Computer programming becomes accessible when students understand how logical steps combine to create functional programmes. In my lessons, I guide learners through programming fundamentals such as variables, loops, conditionals, functions, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming using structured, supportive explanations. I focus on helping students understand how code behaves and how problems can be broken into manageable steps. Lesson structure is adapted to each learner’s experience level. Beginners explore basic syntax, simple programmes, and logical flow with guided practice. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging skills, modular thinking, and algorithmic reasoning. Advanced learners focus on optimisation, project development, software design patterns, and interview-style problem-solving. Each lesson includes hands-on coding, explanation, and feedback. Programming lessons also build persistence, creativity, and analytical thinking. As students gain confidence, they become more comfortable experimenting and improving their code independently. My goal is to help learners feel empowered to create solutions through technology rather than feeling intimidated by it.
