About Umad
I am passionate about supporting students who are in the position I once was. Coming from a disadvantaged background, I understand first-hand the transformative impact a dedicated tutor can have. My personal tutor played a pivotal role in my academic journey and laid the foundation for everything I have achieved today. Recognising how vital that support was for me, I am deeply committed to helping students build confidence, unlock their potential, and achieve their goals.

I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics and AAA at A-Level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science, and I hold a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours) degree in Computer Science. Alongside my academic background, I have experience in software development and mathematics competitions, giving me a strong and in-depth understanding of the subjects I teach.
My teaching approach is student-centred and tailored to individual learning styles. I focus on building strong foundations, identifying knowledge gaps, and developing problem-solving skills through structured, engaging lessons. I use real exam questions, step-by-step explanations, and regular practice to help students master content and apply effective exam techniques. I encourage confidence, independent thinking, and active participation in every session.
Lessons typically last 50–60 minutes, allowing sufficient time to review concepts, practise questions, and address areas of difficulty.
I teach students from GCSE to A-Level, supporting learners of all abilities. Whether preparing for exams, reinforcing key topics, or building confidence.
