About Jonas
I am a National Merit Scholar at Vanderbilt University, where I a pursuing a Masters in Computer Science, as well as a bachelors in Economics and a minor in physics.
I pride myself on the ability to explain complex topics simply. Computer Science can be unnecessarily difficult when the explanations of topics are too technical or complex.
Further Qualifications:
I placed #36 in a national computational logic competition.
I received a 5 on AP Computer Science Exam and 10 other AP exams.

I offer topic specific lessons/review for AP and Non-AP Computer Science in a variety of programming languages. I am proficient in teaching from the grade school level to entry-level college courses.
I believe that 90% of computer programming is about thinking through how to solve the problem. The last 10% is the actual coding. I focus on teaching the high-level skills required to solve problems. After that, the coding of a solution is easy.
I utilize the EDGE teaching method for optimum retention and learning:
Explain - Simple yet detailed explanation of the material.
Demonstrate - Complete example problems while showing steps.
Guide - Help the student through practice problems.
Enable - Test the student's learning without guidance.
This method optimally teaches and enables a student to solve the problem on their own.
