About Joshua
I am currently a university student studying Computer Science. Over the years, I've had my own struggles in doing well in school due to previously undiagnosed ADHD. I feel this has given me a unique perspective on education as I've always felt that classrooms were not tailored well enough to students. And because I know what it's like to be made to feel small in a setting meant to help people grow, my promise is to never make another person feel that same way for simply not knowing something yet.

It's pretty common to hear "I'm not a math person," but I firmly believe that almost everyone is able to grow their understanding of mathematics as long as they're provided with the right explanations that make sense to them. This requires hard work, perseverance, and patience from both student and teacher, and I am committed to finding the right way to communicate any difficult concept to whoever comes to me for help.
I have informally tutored friends in the areas of College Algebra, Statistics, and Programming, and I am prepared to offer tutoring in these areas in addition to Calculus/Pre-Calculus, Discrete Math, and middle and high school math(Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, etc).
In my sessions, I will explain concepts, we will work through example problems together, I will ask questions to gauge your understanding, and, ideally, you will also ask me questions if you start to feel lost.
Sessions will preferably be online, but I am willing to do in-person tutoring as well if needed.
