About Zikeria
Hi, I’m Zikeria! I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, where I’ve developed strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills. I’m a patient and understanding person who enjoys helping others learn and grow. I believe that creating a comfortable environment is important, especially when students may feel frustrated or unsure about math. I’m committed to being professional, encouraging, and attentive to each student’s individual needs and learning pace.

My goal as a tutor is to make math easier to understand and help students feel more confident in their abilities. I believe students learn best when they are given clear explanations, encouragement, and the opportunity to work through problems at their own pace.
During each lesson, I first take time to understand what the student is currently learning and identify any areas where they may be struggling. From there, I explain the concept step by step using simple examples before working through practice problems together. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their reasoning so that I can make sure they truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing an answer.
A typical lesson may include reviewing previous material, introducing or explaining a new concept, working through examples together, and then allowing the student to practice independently with guidance when needed. I can also provide additional practice with topics the student finds challenging.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need extra help with mathematics, want to strengthen their foundational skills, or simply want more confidence in the classroom. As a Computer Science student, I have developed strong problem-solving and analytical skills that I bring into my approach to mathematics.
I strive to create a patient, supportive learning environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions, and learn without feeling embarrassed or pressured. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my explanations and pace based on what works best for them.
