About Christian
I am an orchestra conductor specializing in opera. I have conducted in Italy, Russia, France, Germany, Egypt, Lithuania, USA, England, Australia and many other countries around the world. I studied violin and piano in Italy, conducting in St. Petersburg, musicology in Oxford, and I speak six languages. I have written numerous essays on conducting technique and vocal interpretation, I am a judge of several important singing competitions. For me, teaching singing, operatic style, technique is a mission as well as a passion. I like to train aware interpreters who will tread the theatres of tomorrow. I give a lot to my students and I expect the same commitment, respect for the time I dedicate and for great music. My ancestors were patrons of some of the greatest Italian opera players of the past, I want to continue this patronage tradition by helping the opera world and singers in particular. Depending on your level, I will be assisted by some fellow pedagogues of basic technique whom I trust blindly. If your technique is already trained we will work on the interpretation and improvement.
