About Liv
I am an experienced Flute teacher with more than 8 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who wish to learn flute in a structured and supportive environment.
My teaching method focuses on building strong fundamentals. I train students in breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm accuracy, and musical interpretation. Lessons are designed for steady and confident progress.
I place high importance on communication and regular practice. I explain techniques clearly and provide guidance when needed. Accountability is maintained through progress tracking and constructive feedback. Integrity is central to my teaching style.
In addition to flute lessons, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I support students with exams, auditions, and recitals.
My unique skill is motivating students to stay consistent and focused. I create a positive learning environment that helps students develop long-term musical skills.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, offering students a structured yet inspiring learning journey. I begin by understanding each student’s skill level, goals, and preferred learning style.
Communication allows me to teach techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a clear, step-by-step, and practical manner. I encourage students to ask questions, actively participate, and reflect on their progress, helping them develop confidence, independence, and motivation.
Creativity is central to my approach. I guide students to explore improvisation, develop personal interpretations of pieces, and experiment with musical expression. Exercises in composition and self-expression foster originality and artistic identity. Flexibility allows lessons to be adapted according to the student’s pace, strengths, and areas of challenge, ensuring a fully personalised and engaging learning experience.
Alongside flute instruction, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, and ear training to build complete musicianship. My methodology ensures students develop technical proficiency, expressive performance skills, and confidence, while cultivating a lifelong love for music and a meaningful connection to their instrument.
