About Remi
Hi! I’m an experienced ESL teacher and tutor with a strong background in English education, adult learning, and instructional design.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master of Education in Educational Technology & Instructional Design. I also have TEFL training and several professional certifications related to education, learning analytics, and technology-enhanced learning.
I have over 3 years of experience teaching English to non-native speakers, both in the U.S. and internationally. I’ve worked with adult learners, college students, professionals, and immigrants, helping them improve speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, and confidence. I’ve also taught and tutored ESL in community programs, academic settings, and online platforms.
In addition to teaching, I’ve worked in college and university environments, including student support and recruitment roles, which gives me a strong understanding of academic English, professional communication, and real-life language use. I design my lessons carefully based on each student’s goals — whether that’s workplace English, conversation, academic preparation, or overall fluency.
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and encouraging. I believe learning English should feel clear, practical, and motivating, not stressful. I especially enjoy helping students gain confidence and express themselves naturally — while embracing their accent and identity.
