About Jonah
Wanting to share my deep love of music of a wide range of genres drives my ambition to teach.
I have been studying music for over 15 years and will be studying for many more. This life long passion has provided me with mental agility, fine motor dexterity and endless fun!
I believe that learning to play music not only teaches you a fun and mentally engaging skill but the process of learning a skill in general - an incredibly valuable attribute to have.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance, specialising in the saxophone, from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During my formal education I have studied Improvisation, Jazz Theory, Composition, Music Promotion and Pedagogy among others.
I have played in countless bands and ensembles across many genres including jazz, reggae, funk, soul, rock, folk and western classical music.
