About John Mark
I am a music teacher from the Philippines with a lifelong passion for music and a strong background in both performance and teaching.
I began playing music at a young age and grew up performing in rock bands, where I developed real-world experience in live performance, collaboration, and musicianship. I continued performing while also starting my teaching journey, which has become a meaningful and fulfilling part of my career.
With experience as both a performer and educator, I provide structured, practical, and supportive lessons that are tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and learning pace. I work with complete beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students of all ages.
My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals while also developing musical expression, confidence, and creativity. Whether your goal is to learn songs, improve technique, understand music theory, or become a more independent musician, I will guide you step by step in a clear and professional learning environment.
My approach is patient, structured, and results-driven, helping students grow not only in skill but also in confidence and enjoyment of music.

My teaching approach is structured, practical, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. Complex concepts are broken down into simple, step-by-step explanations, and I always connect technique with real musical application.
A typical lesson starts with warm-up exercises to develop finger strength and coordination, followed by focused work on technique, rhythm, or music theory depending on the student’s goals. We then apply these skills to songs, improvisation, or exercises that match the student’s level and musical interests. Each lesson ends with clear practice guidance to ensure steady progress.
What sets my teaching apart is patience, clarity, and adaptability. I make sure students truly understand what they are playing rather than just memorizing patterns. I also adjust my teaching style to match each learner’s pace, making sure they feel supported and confident at every stage.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate players, and advanced students looking to refine their technique, expand their musical knowledge, or improve performance skills. I work with students of all ages who want a clear, structured, and encouraging learning experience in electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele.
