About Kirby
I’m a conservatory-trained soprano with degrees from Furman University and Bard College, where I focused on both classical voice and musical theater. I believe students should develop a strong sense of musical self-reliance: skills that not only support confident performance, but also meaningful collaboration with other artists. My teaching blends rigor with warmth, cultivating excellence while keeping a sense of humor and joy at the heart of every lesson.

My lessons focus on both the joy of expression and the development of strong musical foundations. I offer voice lessons, audition preparation, general musicianship, and sight-singing/aural skills training. I specialize in musical theatre and classical repertoire, but I’m excited to help you grow in any style you want to explore. Interpreting music and text is one of my greatest joys, and I love sharing that process with my students.
