About Brinnae
I have played acoustic guitar for seventeen years. I started as a self-taught teenager, went on to study music at a collegiate level, and have played professionally for over twelve years. I have played in bands, written songs, taught both privately and on the university level, and am still learning and growing in my own musicianship. Currently I spend a lot of time writing, recording, and playing acoustic guitar in both live and studio settings. I love helping guitar players discover new things about their instrument and learn to love playing all over again.

I specialize in the acoustic guitar and believe a holistic understanding of music will unlock your musicianship and make you a better player. I love to let my students lead the way in what they want. I find it is more motivating if YOU can pick the songs you want to learn and set a goal for yourself. I will often ask my students what their favorite bands are, what songs they want to learn, and what their goals for playing are and let that inform our lesson plans. I love to help guitar students reach the next level, whatever that may be. If you are feeling stuck, needing some new inspiration, or looking to discover more of your potential - I am a great resource for you. I like to help guitar players grow in their fingerpicking, chord structures, strum patterns, and aural theory. This can be done at any level, whether you are just starting out or you have been playing for many years. I let my students work at their pace and I partner with them on that journey; my teaching style focuses on listening, encouragement, and building knowledge.
