About David
I’m an experienced English tutor with a passion for communication and culture. Alongside teaching, I work as a football coach and player, which keeps me active and connected with people. I come from a multilingual, multicultural background — my mother is Puerto Rican and my father is from New Zealand — and I also speak Spanish and Portuguese. This helps me understand the challenges of learning a new language. My approach is friendly and supportive, and I enjoy creating lessons where students feel comfortable, motivated, and able to express themselves naturally.

My lessons are focused on conversational English, helping you feel confident and natural in real situations. Since I also speak Spanish and Portuguese, we can include a language exchange if you’re still building confidence in English. I aim to create a friendship-like atmosphere, so it feels more like chatting with a friend than a formal class. This way, you can relax, enjoy learning, and steadily improve your fluency.
