About Abdulrahman
My name is Miss Halima Abdulrahman and I'm currently a second year law student of the University of Ilorin,Kwara State,Nigeria. I'm from Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria and I reside there.
I graduated from the prestigious Federal Government College Ilorin, Kwara State as the best student in Arts and Literature department in the year 2020. I have participated in many local, national and international writing competitions including the Goi peace international essay writing contest, Sustainable development goals (SDG) interstate competition amongst others.
I am a member of the students union press, a poet, a novelist, children fiction writer, content creator amongst others.
According to Graves,1983 most children enter school with a natural interest in writing, an inherent need to express themselves in words. This interest can be developed into an habit, from habit to talent and talent to professionalism, my purpose as a creative writing tutor is to neutralize this talent of yours and groom it into professionalism.

Teachers play a big role in encouraging their students to enjoy writing. As the captain of the ship, I will lead and inspire them to enjoy the craft and later on, be good at it. I will plan ahead of the class, set themes and topics for each lesson, encourage friendly competition, challenge the student’s skills by giving them writing challenges and lastly, allow them to review the works of their classmates because the best part of being a creative writing teacher is that you don’t just get to teach, you also learn in the process.
