About Shawkin
I grew up with learning struggles while going through my competitive high-school. This often caused me a lot of stress, and I worked with a tutor while growing up to help me grasp concepts as I would have issues learning because of severe ADHD. Because of this, I understand what it's like to struggle while learning, and I will always create a comfortable and engaging environment to learn in. I prioritize connecting with you personally as well so that I can teach in a way created uniquely just for you and your learning style. Having an amazing tutor greatly positively impacted my life, and I would love to bring that same experience to others. I'd love to work with you!

I make sure to gain an understanding of what a student struggles with and prioritize connecting with students. A typical lesson will have me breaking down concepts students struggle with. As someone who grew up with severe ADHD working in a top-ranked competitive high-school, I worked with tutors myself and have a unique understanding on how to support students through learning struggles. I'm friendly and make lessons engaging and fun! Getting tutoring as a young student helped me so much, and I would love to pass on the same wonderful experience for someone else!
I teach language arts for all levels and math for grades K-8. In qualifications academically, I received a 5 on all English AP exams and a 36 on the English portion of the ACT.
