About Margaret
Hi! My name is Margaret, I am a final year history student at UCC with a passion for teaching and for the subject of history. I have studied history for almost seven years, graduating from an IB secondary school and continuing that education at university.
I believe that history can be interesting for everybody if it is taught correctly, even while emphasizing good grades. I have previously been a Writing Tutor at the university level with a specialty in history writing, and I am always furthering my own expertise through individual research and questions. Anyone can succeed at history and I hope to prove this idea.

I am a hands-on and question-driven tutor, meeting students where they are and striving to foster curiosity in the topic. Available online and in person, I offer sessions up to two hours, dictated by the student's needs and the complexity of the task. I am a skilled writer and am practiced in University level writing and exam style prep for writing a proper essay.
Depending on the needs, I can make a subject into an engaging lesson for a student, or I can teach the process of analyzing and writing from information the student already possesses. The lessons would be conducted using proper research skills, with questions highly encouraged.
