About Lucy
I am an undergraduate in my twenties with a life long passion for history, which stemmed from childhood teachers who made it enjoyable.
I have spent most of my life in a classroom and am aware of the stress that can come with exams, but focus on individual learning methods and patience.
My undergraduate degree has covered a wide and in-depth span of History; French revolution, Anglo-Saxons, Victorians, 20th century, empires and military history.
I believe good historical learning comes from interest, pattern finding and visual memory.
As well as this, I also understand the importance of exam coping methods and can teach structure and confidence for such.

Lessons would be set up through 3 main stages from 1-2 hours.
1. Discuss what the students have learnt recently in school and/or college and what they struggle with.
2. Discuss with the student why this is hard and the key things they don't understand.
3. Go over memory techniques, visual aids and exam/essay structures to work on studying history in a more interesting way that's easier to digest.
The session will focus on topics that fit with GCSE or A level exam subject matter and focus on individual struggles.
