About Kaushiki
Hello! I’m Kaushiki, a first-year medical student who grew up between India, Singapore and Hong Kong, which means I’ve experienced a wide range of education systems, cultures, and learning environments. This international upbringing has shaped who I am, and how I teach making me adaptable, empathetic, and deeply committed to helping every student find a learning style that works for them. I completed the International Baccalaureate in Hong Kong on a 100% scholarship, and I’m currently a medical student at Aston University in Birmingham, after receiving three UK medical school offers and one Hong Kong medical school offer. Outside academics, I run two student-led organisations; Zenerations HK and Stempact HK and serve as a student ambassador for Lüna Naturals. I’m also a published researcher and co-authored a case study on neurosurgeons in Hong Kong, which I had the privilege of presenting at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Neurosurgeons. My passion lies in positive and efficient learning by helping students achieve the best possible results without burning out. I strongly believe that balance, mindset, and smart study strategies are key, and my diverse experiences allow me to connect with students from all backgrounds. In terms of teaching experience, I have provided one year of private English tutoring and two years of mathematics tutoring, working closely with students to build confidence, mastery, and genuine enjoyment of the subjects. We will go through understanding the concepts especially for the new syllabus for the sciences using techniques I used as an IB 7 student. Go through past papers from previous years and understand how the mark scheme works and how we are expected to format answers. Learn how to structure English Paper 1 and Paper 2 essays and make quality comparisons between studied texts. I will also help with IAs for all subjects, (7 in Chemistry and Business Management IA) including structure, content, citations. I am also able to help with Biology EEs and help create a quality essay relevant to medicine as well as a current medical student. For prospective medical students and graduates, I am able to share tips on getting work experience, cracking interviews and writing personal statements
