About Lauren
I am a Mathematics undergraduate student at the University of Bath who loves challenging myself, whether that be playing sports or attempting tricky maths problems.
My enthusiasm for the subject was sparked by an inspiring maths teacher who demonstrated how a teacher's energy and passion can make a significant difference to a student's experience. They helped me see mathematics not just as a collection of methods and formulae, but as a fascinating subject built on logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.
This experience motivates me to help others develop their confidence and enjoyment in mathematics. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to adapt my explanations to suit individual needs and encourage students to ask questions and think independently.

As a Mathematics undergraduate, I love the subject and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with others. Not only do I want to help students improve their grades but also help them to build their confidence in the subject.
I make sure students know the basics so they can build on them along with showing them where certain parts of maths come from as it helps to remember key concepts!
I also focus on creating a supportive and relaxing environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and developing problem-solving skills.
I have tutored students in years below me during sixth form and also family and family friends helping them improve their grades and understanding of Mathematics along with the science subjects.
I provide 1 hour sessions either online or in person around Bath during term time or East London/Essex outside term times.
