About Mitra
During my senior years in high school, I was a French tutor for several of the junior French students for 2 years before I graduated, assisting with assessment preparation (conversation and pronunciation), as well as any other homework tasks they needed help with.
I was also a member of the Alliance Francaise; a great organisation for French culture, beneficial to those who are interested in it or want to practise conversation.
I have always thoroughly enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others and teaching and in fact was a music teacher for years until just recently.

My school of thought with French is to develop a relaxed and clear atmosphere for the student, and to develop a positive and friendly relationship with them. This method allows the student to learn in a casual manner, and to understand the language as it would be overseas. Language especially, is an immersive subject which requires confidence and a very high level of knowledge in order to become fluent and natural. Often it is found that focusing your teaching on grammar causes the student to have disconnected and non-fluent sentences when communicating, thus my method will replicate that of any new language - constant and persistent exposure to French; listening to songs, radio, watching french films/tv, conversation, as well as the mandatory literary aspects.
