About Daniel
He began his musical studies at the age of 8, specializing in piano at 12. A graduate in Contemporary Music from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, he currently teaches at the university. He has represented Ecuador at major international events, including the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the Olympics 2024, where he performed at Casa Ecuador. His extensive touring includes performances with the Daniel Pacheco Trio in Havana and with Michael Shay and Michelle Alany in Portland and Oakland. He has also performed with Margarita Lasso in Montevideo and with La Papaya Dada in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. His versatility has allowed him to collaborate with a diverse range of musicians, showcasing the cultural identity of Ecuador and Latin America on global stages and fostering a deeper appreciation for Latin American music worldwide.
