Hi, I’m Thinesh — A Passionate and Reliable Tutor Focused on Building Understanding and Confidence I’m currently pursuing a degree in Data Science and Business Analytics at SIM, and I bring with me a strong academic background along with hands-on teaching experience. I have experience teaching Math and Science at the primary school level, and Math at the secondary level, working with students of varying learning styles and academic abilities. This has taught me the importance of adapting my approach to meet individual needs — whether it’s breaking down complex concepts, reinforcing foundations, or building exam readiness. My lessons are structured to be clear, engaging, and focused on true understanding, not just memorization. My Teaching Approach
I believe every student learns differently — so I always tailor my lessons to match your pace, strengths, and goals. Whether you’re a visual learner, need step-by-step guidance, or benefit from real-life examples, I adapt to make learning engaging and understandable.
I focus on building strong fundamentals, simplifying complex topics, and guiding students to think critically — not just memorize. I also encourage open communication so students feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how simple they seem.
Lesson Duration
Lessons typically run for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your preference. I’m flexible with timing and always ensure the session is productive but not overwhelming.
My Background
I’m currently pursuing a degree in Data Science and Business Analytics at SIM and have a background in Aeronautical Engineering. I’ve also had hands-on experience in both technical and service industries, which allows me to connect well with learners from all walks of life.
