About Zane
I have over 7 years of experience teaching guitar. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles). My teaching emphasizes composition and original music creation. Arranging for guitar is a central part of my lessons. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals. Harmonic concepts are explored throughout learning. Melodic invention is encouraged in every session. I introduce counterpoint to deepen musical understanding. Students learn to make recordings of their music. I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced composers. Lessons balance technical skill with creative exploration. I encourage experimentation and musical expression. We study songs and develop original arrangements. I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style. Students build confidence in composing and performing. I focus on technique and expressive musicianship. Each session fosters creativity and growth. Students leave with practical skills to create music. My goal is to make learning guitar inspiring. My lessons focus on guitar skills for performing with others. Ensemble playing, band dynamics, and collaboration are central. Students learn to listen, adapt, and contribute musically. Stage presence, confidence, and etiquette are incorporated into every session. Fingerstyle learners and late beginners gain opportunities to shine in group settings. We explore improvisation, arranging, and teamwork exercises. Students practice performing live to build confidence and timing. Lessons are customized to individual goals while developing group skills. By the end, students are prepared to perform with clarity and energy.
