About Aaravi
I’ve been teaching piano for over 2 years, guiding students at all levels through their own creative journeys. With a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition (Piano Emphasis), I combine structured learning with space for personal expression. My teaching goes beyond reading notes—I help students explore the piano as a tool for self-discovery. I especially enjoy nurturing improvisational skills and showing students how to create their own spontaneous pieces. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, I meet you where you are. We’ll work on technique, theory, and musicality, but always with creativity at the core. I believe in music as a lifelong relationship, not just a skill. My lessons are flexible, student-focused, and encourage curiosity. Improvisation is part of every lesson, helping you build confidence and expression. I also perform and compose regularly, so I bring real-world musical insight to my teaching. Students learn to listen deeply, think musically, and play with purpose. My piano lessons are warm, interactive, and always tailored to the student’s specific goals. I focus especially on those interested in accompanying singers and instrumentalists. Together, we develop the listening skills and rhythmic responsiveness needed for expressive ensemble playing. I guide students in reading lead sheets, understanding harmonic progressions, and shaping musical texture with intention. Transposing is introduced step-by-step to build fluency and confidence. We use shared scores, visual chord diagrams, and live collaborative exercises to bring music off the page and into real performance. I believe that playing with others strengthens not just technique, but musical empathy. Whether you’re preparing for church services, collaborative projects, or creative production work, I support you every step of the way. Students leave each lesson with clarity, tools, and musical insight. I place high value on consistency, detail, and adaptability. Even small progress is celebrated, because it leads to confident, artistic musicianship. I offer encouragement while also giving clear, practical feedback.
