About Sophie
I earned two 9/A** grades in English at GCSE level, with nearly full marks and commendation from my school. Currently achieving A/A* grades in English, Maths, and History at A-level, I aim to use my love and knowledge of literature to inspire and encourage younger students to not only succeed at GCSE level, but to exceed expectations and feel confident going into further education equipped with enhanced essay-writing and analytical skills. Those closest to me would describe me as calm, logical, and determined - traits that I believe are vital to instilling confidence and trust within clients.

Currently predicted A/A* grades in English, History, and Maths at A-level, I achieved two 9s at nearly full marks in my English GCSEs. I am enthusiastic about English and emphasise a style of teaching that goes beyond the regimented GCSE syllabus. Whilst I will ensure your child reaches their full potential in their exams, I will also enable them to approach any essay question with ease and confidence. I specialise in ‘block-style’ tuition, where I will spend between 4-8 weeks on the areas that your child finds the hardest. Alongside this, I offer free practice essay marking, intensive pre/post exam sessions, and completely tailored courses to suit specific needs and commitment levels.
I believe every student is capable of achieving top grades in English, with the right approach and encouragement put in place - two things I am passionate about providing.
