About ELHEM

Graduated from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis (engraving specialty), from University Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne (Master Degree In Aesthetics) and from University Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis and qualified to the position of Assistant Professor by the Ministry of Higher Education in France, I have developed a plural artistic identity and a versatile profile which entitles me to teach art theory and practice.
As part of my collaboration with the European educational and artistic project @postasis Virtual Artistic Laboratory, as a research engineer, at the University of Paris 8 in collaboration with the School of Fine Arts of Athens (Art, virtual reality and multi-user system of artistic expression), and inspired by Paul Valery’s work on poietics as well as semiotic and constructivist theories, I conducted a research on creativity and creative thinking, in order to design a model “The constellation Model” that can help students in the process of building a personal methodology of research-creation.

I will use, then, this model during the methodology sessions.

Are you an art student engaged in research-creation and who has to write a dissertation? You don’t know how or where to start? Do you encounter a difficulty in setting up your dissertation plan? Are you having trouble structuring and developing your ideas? Do you have any difficulties in articulating your practical issues with theoretical concepts?

Through the Constellation Model that I designed for research-creation, I will help you elucidate your intentions and your motivations until you go beyond them. By developing awareness of your mental and semantic associations, you will be able to build progressively a personal methodology which emerges from your art practice with respect to your sensitivity and to your cognitive print.

I will also assist you in nourishing a sensitive relationship to your work without neglecting method and critic sense.

The coaching session comprises:
- Mental and semantic associations exercises (how to produce creative and pertinent syntheses?)
- Elucidation of your identified and implicit intentions and motivations exercises (mindfulness and theoretical support).
- Emerging concepts from your art practice.
- An introduction to aesthetical and technical analyses.
- Writing assistance.
- And if requested, an introduction to textual analysis techniques.

These sessions concern any artist or student engaged in research-creation and who prepares a master, predoctoral or doctoral dissertation.

Since I am trilingual Arab/French/English, you choose which language will be spoken during the sessions.

The first session is free of charges. It is the occasion to meet you, learn more about you, about your theme of research-creation and it will help identify you requests and expectations. It will also be helpful for the preparation of personalized session.
