About Rachelle

I am Dr. Rachelle D. Harris, an educator with a doctorate in Education Administration and more than 20 years of experience in secondary and higher education. I am a proud Tuskegee University graduate and have been recognized by the Michigan House of Representatives as a Teacher of the Year. I currently teach English Composition and World Literature at the university level, where I work primarily with adult and nontraditional learners in an online environment. My background includes AP English Literature, Speech and Debate, multilingual learner instruction, and instructional coaching across multiple schools. I hold multiple master’s degrees in English, Secondary English Education, Instructional Technology Management, and Human Services. I am committed to meeting every student where they are and helping them grow into confident, capable writers and thinkers.

About the lesson

With a doctorate in Education Administration and more than 20 years of experience in secondary and higher education, I bring expertise, structure, and genuine care to every session. My lessons are tailored to meet each student where they are, with a focus on building strong writing skills, critical thinking, and literary analysis. Whether you need support with English Composition, World Literature, or academic writing at the college level, I will guide you with clear instruction, meaningful feedback, and high expectations. I specialize in working with adult learners, secondary learners, and nontraditional students in an online environment.

Dr. Harris is one of the best teachers I know. She goes above and beyond for all of her students to help them succeed! I only know this because I had her as my ninth-grade teacher, and she was amazing! She made sure we understood everything we were learning, and if we needed and did not have, she would find a way to provide with or without the school's help. I highly recommend Dr. Harris as a teacher for more than just English, life skills as well!
