I take my role as a tutor seriously and strive to create a learning environment where students feel supported, capable, and motivated to succeed. As a DePaul University graduate pursuing software engineering, I’ve built a strong foundation in both mathematics and programming, supported by over five years of consistent hands-on experience. My background includes working on independent projects and solving complex problems, which allows me to guide students with both theoretical understanding and practical insight.

I prioritize clear communication, patience, and structure in every session. Students can expect well-prepared lessons, thoughtful explanations, and a professional approach tailored to their individual needs. I understand that every learner progresses differently, so I focus on building confidence step by step while maintaining high standards.

My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to ensure they genuinely understand the material and feel confident applying it on their own.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered on building strong fundamentals while making learning engaging and practical. I focus on breaking down complex concepts—especially in math and programming—into clear, manageable steps. I use real-world examples, guided problem-solving, and interactive coding exercises so students don’t just memorize solutions but truly understand the “why” behind them. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning preferences, ensuring they stay confident and motivated.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing a new concept with simple explanations and examples. Then, we work through problems together, gradually increasing difficulty. I encourage students to think out loud and attempt solutions independently while I guide them when needed. Each session ends with a recap and optional practice challenges to reinforce learning.

What sets me apart is my passion for problem-solving and my hands-on experience with coding and math over the past five years. As a DePaul University graduate pursuing software engineering, I bring both academic knowledge and real project experience, helping students connect theory to actual applications.

My lessons are ideal for high school and college students, especially those studying computer science, software engineering, or mathematics.
