Drum Corp Internationalist Open-Class Bronze Medalist teaching Music composition, Frenchhorn, Mellophone, Trumpet, and Flute!

I’ve known Ryan for a long time now. He and I go insanely far back, and I can promise you that his tutoring will make you a better musician and person in general. His patience and empathy for music are far beyond what people could imagine. I’ve also been in a band for a while now, yet Ryan teaches me from time to time. Ryan loves to lead, but not in the way toxic leaders do. He leads with his chest and an attitude that will set the tone of ‘yes, I’ll have a good day.’ That’s why I recommend Ryan as your tutor/teacher. (Also, he’s such a good friend too lol) :)

We know each other from playing an online game together and having the same interests. The way he teaches is pretty easy and straightforward. Ryan Doan likes to share things he enjoys and have fun. He cares about the people he surrounds himself with and will help you overcome your problems.

I’ve known Ryan since 8th grade, he is the type of guy to always be there for anyone whenever they need help. That is no exception right now. As a member of the RHSPS, Ryan is dedicated to his role in this community. He is an expert in the musical arts, being talented with multiple instruments such as the flute, trumpet, and the french horn. He is often patient, resilient, and respectful towards his peers and that is what’s great about him. I recommend Ryan as a superprof because he is an outstanding student, leader, and tutor. Give his tutoring a try and you’ll succeed with greatness.

I’ve had a really positive experience learning with Ryan. He’s very understanding and always takes the time to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. What I appreciate most is that he adjusts his teaching based on what I’m struggling with instead of just rushing through the lesson. We’ve worked through difficult topics together, and he’s helped me feel much more confident in my abilities. Ryan is patient, supportive, and easy to learn from, which is why I would definitely recommend him as a tutor.

I know Ryan from band. From when i joined until now, he has been and still is an amazing person and player. He is a great mentor and is really able to adjust on the fly. Him and the mello section have been always on the dot when it comes to being able to do music and other stuff. His variety of skills makes his ability to learn and teach in such an efficient way. When i was a freshman starting my first year on trumpet, Ryan helped me learn my instrument and be more used to playing better, letting me find confidence in myself and shape me into the player i am now. Not only was he able to accomodate to my needs, he was very skilled with his style of teaching. This is why I reccomend Ryan to be a superprof.

Ryan is a fellow member of the mello section at RHS Panther Sound. I have known him for two years, and he is one of the most disciplined, passionate students in the field of music that I have ever known. As as upperclassmen, he does not put others down for their mistakes, instead providing them with effective constructive criticism. There is no doubt that he is knowledgeable in what he specializes in, and I have learned a lot from him as a musician under his teaching. If anything, he could buy his section food more often!

Anyway, Ryan Doan is an awesome guy :)

As a close friend of Ryan, I can say that his understanding of music is beyond my capabilities. Even though I have more experience in music than Ryan, he can teach music to me. His level of understanding is far greater than mine, and the initiative he takes to be better each day is why I'm recommending Ryan to be a superprof.
His teaching style is one that is easy to understand because he likes to make learning fun and relatable. His level of adaptability is far greater than mine. I've seen him take the initiative to learn new instruments within the high brass area and be proficient in them. It's safe to say that Ryan is a great teacher.

Ryan is a great tutor who is patient, encouraging, and genuinely cares about helping his students understand the material. I appreciate how he explains things clearly and takes the time to make sure I understand before moving on. He makes learning feel comfortable and never makes me feel bad for asking questions. One of my favorite experiences has been working through challenging topics together and seeing how much easier they become with his guidance. I would definitely recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a supportive and knowledgeable tutor!
