I’m a drum teacher with 11 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Music. My lessons focus on developing strong foundational skills. About the lesson

Lessons cover timing, stick technique, hand independence, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and musical awareness, gradually increasing in complexity as students progress. I incorporate play-along tracks, exercises, song practice, and improvisation to make learning practical and enjoyable. Students receive guidance on practice routines, goal setting, and tracking progress to ensure steady improvement. My teaching environment is positive, patient, and supportive, giving learners the confidence to take risks and explore their musical creativity. Lessons emphasise listening skills, rhythm comprehension, and applying techniques in real-world situations, including ensemble play. I celebrate achievements at every stage to maintain motivation and encourage continuous growth. Students gradually develop technical ability, musical expression, coordination, and independence. Each lesson is designed to be productive, engaging, and rewarding, building both skill and confidence. Drumming becomes a tool for self-expression, creativity, and emotional connection.
