About Arttu
I am a drummer from Espoo who will soon complete his master's degree in jazz music. My regular bands include e.g. Syskofrenia, Sointi Jazz Orchestra, TRI and many others, and I have performed as a freelancer, e.g. With Timo Lassy, Olli Ahvenlahti, Juha Björninen and Jukka Eskola. I am also part of Kaartin Soittkunta's drum group.
I have teaching experience for players of all ages and levels, and I have taught both privately and in music colleges. I myself have received great guidance from the top names in Finland and also from world-renowned drummers, so there is definitely material for players of all levels!
I especially specialize in rhythm music (jazz, funk, soul, r'n'b), but outside of these there is also plenty of experience in rudimentary drumming as well as pop/rock music!

I teach drumming very thoroughly from the beginning. In the lessons, we first familiarize ourselves thoroughly with the technique and ergonomics of drumming, as well as coordination and different musical styles! In addition, we learn the basics of notation, as well as, for example, playing with brushes. I also try to take the student's own interests into account when planning lessons, so that learning becomes as interesting as possible!
