About Terry James Harlin
My teaching career began at a unique school with one on one teaching. Now as a full time academic tutor, I carry an additional 17 years of innovative classroom teaching (certified) and 10 years of graduate work in curriculum and instruction.
Today I am a specialist in all things related to post secondary education, from standardized testing to college enrollment. I provide expert coaching (as someone who scored in the highest percentile) in taking the SAT, the gateway to the top colleges you dream about! From getting a high SAT score the first time to wanting to master a re-test, preparation is key. My specialty is providing a program complete with practice tests, PowerPoints and mock SATs that will help lead to SAT mastery. I help guide the college admissions process because stellar applications and essays can ensure your entrance!
Qualifications:
Masters in Teaching - Emory;
Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership - Piedmont College;
PhD candidate in Middle and Secondary Learning - Georgia State University;

Testing - SAT, LSAT, GRE, GED
Spanish - native speaker; taught HS Spanish (from Spanish 1 to A.P. Language and A.P. Lit - all AP students score 4s or 5s)
Math - taught 5th grade through Algebra 2
Writing/English/LA - Newspaper columnist; prize-winning essayist; published in academic journal
Social studies/history/government/sociology/economics. etc: History and Political Science major at Duke; wrote state curriculum for world history; all my AP students in US History or Government scored 4s or 5s
