About Kendal
Having completed the International Baccalaureate myself, I understand how demanding school can be and the pressure young people face when balancing exams, coursework, expectations and growing responsibilities.
I want tutoring to be about more than simply getting through the syllabus or memorising information for an exam. I hope to make learning genuinely interesting and enjoyable, helping students understand not only the concepts themselves, but why they matter and how they connect to the world around them.
I also want to help students develop confidence in their own abilities and find healthier, more manageable ways of approaching academic pressure. My aim is to create a supportive space where students can ask questions without judgement, work through things at their own pace, and learn how to manage their workload without feeling overwhelmed.
Ultimately, I want students to leave our lessons feeling more capable, curious and confident—not just better prepared for their next exam.

My lessons are supportive, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. I aim to build confidence as well as subject knowledge, helping students understand difficult concepts rather than simply memorising information.
I can tutor Psychology, Biology, English Literature and Writing, and History, adapting lessons to the student’s level and areas they would most like to improve. Whether you need help understanding course content, developing essay-writing and critical-thinking skills, preparing for exams, or strengthening your academic confidence, we can shape lessons around you.
My background in psychology and current doctoral training also informs my patient, encouraging approach. I understand that people learn differently, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through challenging material at their own pace.
