About Tanya

I taught Spanish at an academically-advanced 6-12 private school in the Bay Area after a year of private tutoring and substitute teaching for Spanish language, literature and culture. My degree is in Spanish (literature and culture), with a special emphasis on Mexican culture, although I am knowledgeable about the culture of países hispanohablantes (Spanish-speaking countries) across Latin America.

I have a deep love for the Spanish language, and am an enthusiastic, passionate, and effective teacher. I look forward to hearing from you!

TESTIMONIALS:
"It feels like I learned more in Spanish this year than I learned in the past six years at my old school. Your way of teaching is clear and gets the information across quite quickly." --Joe, 6th grade

"Thank you for making me really understand Spanish. You made learning a language a really fun experience, and are the best Spanish teacher I've had. Gracias por un año fantástico." --Amanda, 8th grade
