About Max
I have been involved in education for the past ten years, and have seen so many students flourish and grow. While I was with the Gifted and Talented pool, these students were younger, which helped me to understand how to break down concepts to their fundamentals - even those which are quite challenging. I am deeply passionate about hearing students' voices and instilling creativity and individuality within learners while still guiding them towards broader assignment aims. Most of all, I truly enjoy working with people who are also passionate about learning!

My lessons typically last for an hour, and are particularly conversation heavy. I believe that students perform remarkably better when encouraged to share their own voice, and while this can be difficult without the right frameworks, I will be there to support the entire time. I have two teaching licences from the states, as well as a Master's degree in Theatre and a first class honours in English for my Bachelor's. I am currently working towards my PhD in Literature and Theatre, and adore blending high brow concepts with easy to understand visuals and explanations! My lessons are best for GCSE and up, though I am more than happy to work with KS3 students, too!
