About Ruby
I am a committed Flute tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals, helping them learn flute in a structured and enjoyable way.
My teaching approach is clear, supportive, and goal-focused. I emphasise proper breathing, posture, finger movement, tone quality, and rhythm control. I make sure students build a strong foundation before moving to advanced techniques.
Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, notation reading, sight reading, rhythm practice, scale exercises, and ear training. These subjects help students become confident and independent musicians. I also guide students in exam preparation and performance practice.
One of my unique skills is helping students stay consistent and motivated. I design effective practice plans and offer regular feedback. My goal is to support students in achieving their musical goals while enjoying the learning process.

I use a flexible and creative teaching methodology for flute that focuses on communication and understanding. My goal is to help students develop strong flute skills while enjoying the learning process.
Communication helps students feel confident. I explain techniques clearly and demonstrate them during lessons. I encourage students to ask questions and communicate openly. Regular feedback helps guide improvement.
Creativity keeps lessons interesting. I include creative warm-ups, musical exercises, and expressive playing techniques. I encourage students to explore sound, tone, and dynamics.
Flexibility allows lessons to be customised. I adapt teaching methods based on student progress and learning goals. Lessons can be adjusted for exam preparation, performance training, or hobby learning.
Flute training includes breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. I focus on healthy playing habits and steady growth.
Along with flute, I teach related subjects such as music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and basic performance skills.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and supportive.
