About Isola
I have a Master’s in English for Specific Purposes and more than three years of experience teaching English creatively. My lessons focus on learning through pop culture — from video games and memes to trending shows and online humor. I believe language is most powerful when it’s connected to life. Students learn informal English, slang, and tone through engaging, authentic material. Lessons include listening to conversations from online platforms and analyzing meaning in context. I emphasize how language adapts across different communities. My goal is to help students understand both what’s said and why it’s said that way. Each class is a mix of structure, laughter, and discovery. We discuss memes, react to dialogues, and build vocabulary from real media. I value curiosity and self-expression in every learner.
