About Lis
I have recently graduated from University with an honors degree in Economics and Mathematics. I was hired as a tutor and supervisor of the tutoring center by my university where I have gained invaluable experience in helping others. I have helped a lot of students during my bachelor's degree and high school which consequently has allowed me to become more organized, develop more structured tutoring sessions, and most importantly an excellent communicator. I myself have struggled with self-learning so I will be able to approach lessons from a different perspective than someone who may have never struggled before. I encourage a lot of questions, no matter how "dumb" they may be, as that is the only way to ensure a foundational understanding of the topics that you are learning. I also prefer to do a lot of practice problems as a way of teaching/tutoring as they tend to expose lack of understanding, and ultimately prepare you for tests and exams.

- The typical lesson/session would be to go over the basics of what you have learned in class, and then proceed to do practice problems. - Having struggled myself with mathematics during high school and university, I aim to address the little gaps of missing knowledge in order to slowly build a foundation of deep understanding of concepts. - I am a good communicator and I would encourage you to freely express yourself and ask any questions you might have during the tutoring sessions. - My areas of expertise are: High School: All mathematics courses, all economics courses, all business courses. University: Calculus 1-4, Linear Algebra 1 and 2, Real Analysis, Logic, Discrete Math, Matrix Algebra, Differential Equations. To achieve more efficient tutoring sessions I would encourage you to send me the material in advance along with a list of questions and things you are struggling to understand.
