About Musa
I'm a first-year Economics & Finance student at the University of Surrey, studying Mathematics for Economics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics — so the content I teach is the material I use every week at degree level. I tutor GCSE Maths and GCSE/A-level Economics. My approach is simple: I find the exact point where a topic stops making sense, rebuild it from there with plain-English explanations, then drill exam-style questions until marks improve — because understanding a topic and scoring on it are different skills. I specialise in helping students who are struggling or facing resits secure a strong pass — maths didn't come easily to me either, so I know exactly where it goes wrong and how to fix it. I now study Mathematics for Economics at a degree level. Lessons are structured around your exam board's specification and past papers, not generic worksheets. Available throughout summer for resit preparation and September head-starts, in person around Wembley or online. First lesson free — if it's not a fit, you've lost nothing.

Lessons run for one hour, in person around Wembley or online, and every lesson is built around your exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) — not generic material.
The first (free) lesson is diagnostic: we go through a past paper or recent test together so I can find exactly where marks are being lost — whether that's understanding, method, or exam technique, because each needs a different fix.
A typical lesson after that: a quick recap of the last session, one core topic explained from first principles in plain English, then exam-style questions on it immediately — applying a topic the same hour you learn it is what makes it stick. Every lesson ends with a small set of targeted questions to do before next time, so progress carries on between sessions.
I teach GCSE Maths (foundation and higher) and GCSE/A-level Economics. I'm especially suited to students who feel they've "fallen behind" — finding the exact point where a subject stopped making sense and rebuilding from there is what I do best. Parents get a short note after each lesson on what we covered and what's improving.
